New Horizon Progressive School

The school is based in rural Somerset and moved to its present site in 2004. We have recently opened a Satellite Unit in Donyatt. On these two sites, the school provides a safe and secure co-educational environment for boys and girls with a broad range of educational needs.
Our pupils have a wide range of complex SEN and a significant number have been excluded from or have failed to attend previous schools
Services & Facilities: (11 - 16 at main school site at West Hatch and satellite facilities)
- A range of specialist classrooms - aimed at successful delivery of the National Curriculum
- 16+ supported placements both in school and at local Further Education Colleges

- Full range of environmental, land based and animal care studies with dedicated areas and classrooms on site at West Hatch.
- We have Poultry [ ducks chickens and turkeys], small animals [guinea pigs and rabbits] and farm animals [goats] on site - pupils are encouraged to take responsibility for their care and to become involved in various husbandry programmes
